Active gaming, away from passive computer games, through imagination and creativity. Playing that does justice to children's motor skills – that is the philosophy of the Copenhagen-based company MODU. The result is the MODU building blocks with which open and active play comes about through a great deal of inventive talent and the creative implementation of one's own ideas.
Whether it's a seesaw, a car, a couch or a table, there are no limits to creativity and imagination with the life-size building blocks from MODU. The nice thing about it is that there are no age limits either, because the MODU building blocks are ideal for playing together at any age.
Taking on sustainable and social responsibility was a matter close to MODU's heart. Therefore, human rights, labor laws and environmental protection are the focus of the company. To make the toy in a sustainable way, the building blocks are made of 100% recyclable ABS plastic, non-toxic EVA foam and the shipping of the building blocks is CO2-friendly. In addition, all materials are 100% Phthalate and BPA-free and are regularly tested according to the European standard for toys EN71.
In addition to functionality and sustainability, the focus is also on aesthetics. The building blocks are kept in a simple gray and therefore really adapt to any room. Only the MODU connectors, with their bright colors, provide a nice contrast that reflects the childlike in the design.
So it is not surprising that these unique building blocks, MODU, have won the Red Dot Design Award in the "Product Design" category.
